Privacy Policy — LearnLoop: Flashcards

Effective date: 29 January 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Vanessa Hurla collects, uses, and shares information when you use LearnLoop: Flashcards (the “App”).

Who this app is for

LearnLoop: Flashcards is designed to support learning and can be used by children. We aim to minimise data collection and keep privacy protections high by default.

If you are a parent or guardian and you have questions about this policy or your child’s use of the App, contact us at vanluhurla@gmail.com.

Information the app stores on your device

The App lets users create decks and flashcards. This content is stored locally on your device (using Apple’s on-device storage). We do not require accounts and we do not upload your decks/cards to our servers.

Information we collect

We collect only what’s needed to operate the App and subscriptions.

Information you provide to us

  • Support emails: If you contact us at vanluhurla@gmail.com, we receive the information you include (such as your email address and message content). We use it only to respond and provide support.

Subscription and purchase information (via Apple + RevenueCat)

The App offers an annual auto-renewing subscription (£2.99/year) with a 2-week free trial, handled through Apple In-App Purchase.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status (for example, to check whether the subscription is active and to restore purchases). As part of providing this service, RevenueCat may process information such as purchase/receipt data and technical identifiers (for example, app/device identifiers and IP address) used for entitlement management and fraud/security purposes.

We do not receive your full payment details. Payments are processed by Apple.

How we use information

  • Provide and maintain the App
  • Enable and restore subscription access
  • Respond to support requests
  • Protect security and prevent abuse/fraud related to purchases

Sharing of information

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information only:

  • With service providers needed to run subscriptions (for example, RevenueCat and Apple for in-app purchases)
  • If required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
  • If the App changes ownership (e.g., merger/acquisition), with appropriate safeguards

Children’s privacy

We take children’s privacy seriously and aim to collect as little data as possible. Services directed to children under 13 have extra legal requirements in some countries (including the US).

  • We do not require children to create accounts.
  • We do not ask for a child’s name, phone number, precise location, photos, contacts, or similar personal details.
  • Subscription purchase flows are handled by Apple. We recommend that a parent/guardian manages subscriptions and purchases on the device.

Parents/guardians: You can contact us at vanluhurla@gmail.com to request deletion of any support emails you have sent us, or to ask questions about data handling.

Data retention

  • Support emails: kept only as long as needed to resolve your request and for reasonable records of support (unless you ask us to delete them earlier).
  • Subscription data: retained as required to manage entitlements and meet legal/accounting obligations.

Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. To make a request, email vanluhurla@gmail.com.

Subscriptions: You can manage/cancel via your Apple ID subscriptions settings. If you signed up for a free trial and don’t want to be charged, Apple advises cancelling at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

International data transfers

RevenueCat and Apple may process data in countries outside where you live. When this happens, they use safeguards described in their own privacy documentation.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll change the effective date above when we do.
